1. ascilite Conference

With an overwhelming response in registrations to both the conference proper and the variety of workshops on offer, ascilite 2008 Melbourne is gearing up to be one of the largest ascilite conferences of recent times. An outstanding number of papers have been submitted across an array of topics which has lead to an excellent conference program that will encourage discussion and debate amongst the delegates attending. The conference will also offer a great exhibition component with a wide variety of companies taking the opportunity to showcase their products directly into their marketplace.

With two wonderful social events to be held in the heart of Melbourne's CBD at the iconic Melbourne Town Hall and the newly refurbished Grand Hyatt Melbourne these events will also contribute to a wonderful ascilite 2008 Melbourne and a great chance to network in a casual environment. 3. Global Journal of Educational Technology

The Global Journal of Educational Technology is a new refereed scholarly journal that provides a global forum for the publication of papers in all areas of educational technology. The scope covers any topic related to educational technology. Both theoretical and practical articles are accepted. Review and viewpoint articles are also published. The approach of the journal is multi-disciplinary and authors are encouraged to emphasize the relevance of their own work to that of other disciplines.

Prospective authors are invited to submit their papers to Global Journal of Educational Technology (GJET) via the editors email - Iansari@yahoo.com - or to GJET information at info@gjet.com. The papers should not be more than 15 single spaced pages with a font size of 12 point. Authors should write the following in the subject heading of their email, "Submission for consideration in GJET". The paper should be sent as an email attachment in Word Document format. Submitted papers must not have been previously published or currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. The first page of the paper should include: Title of the paper, name of author, affiliation of author, postal address, and email address for each author. The header and the footer should include only the page numbering and the name(s) of the authors.

All submissions will be evaluated for originality, significance, clarity and soundness. Each paper will be reviewed by at least two reviewers in the topic area. The author(s) of accepted papers will be asked to follow particular formatting instructions to prepare their manuscript for publication.

The ascilite newsletter provides you with news about the society but it's also your opportunity to connect with other ascilite members and to disseminate information of interest to ascilite members. If you or your company would like to advertise in this newsletter the pricing per issue is $100 AUD + GST.
There is an upper limit of 500 words of "copy" or text and one image or logo. The image or logo must be provided at 72 DPI with dimensions no larger than 600x400 pixels.

Your advertisement will appear in both the email newsletter and the online version of the newsletter.
Advertisements will be accepted on the basis that they are of potential interest to ascilite members.
